In August 2023, the Family Court in Hennepin County, MN took away custody of my three little girls. That came as a shock given my hard-fought victories in three previous trials proving my innocence after their mother levied multiple false accusations. One counselor warned me: “There is no justice in Family Court.”
I refused to accept that reality. After Referee Jason T. Hutchison filed his order with multiple fabrications, I petitioned the court to correct its mistakes. Referee Hutchison refused to do so. That left me no choice but to appeal to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
This spring, I filed a 25-page formal brief citing multiple violations of the U.S. Constitution and additional violations of Minnesota state statutes. The Court of Appeals accepted my case and set their conference for August 7, 2024. A three-judge panel will convene to discuss the merits of my case. The Court will then have 90 days to file its decision. I am asking the Court to reverse the Order, effectively allowing my daughters to return home.
The judges currently assigned to my case are:
Judge Ross has the longest tenure of the three. He has the second-longest tenure of the 19 judges who comprise the Court of Appeals. Judge Ede and Judge Schmidt joined the Court just last year. Please join me in praying for these three men. May God grant them wisdom to rule justly. I have not seen my oldest daughter for two and a half years. May God bring her and her sisters home.
